home again home again

I'm back home now ... I could feel the damp air in the jetway as I was coming off the plane ... I missed that.

Here, air is water. Evaporation and precipitation have equal time and complete cooperation.

I also know I'm back home with reminders like this one. A screen shot saved by my daughter after drilling Siri.

Here's another one:

I just have to smile.

Hello Kimmie!!! I have been gone for way too long and to where, I really don't know. You know how it goes: we get busy, we do other things, we move on an forward but so often we miss those we left behind (as I did you!). It looks as though you have been creating some wonderful art of late and reading too! I just ordered The Alchemist. It should arrive in the next day or too. Have been studying a book called "Finding Yourself in Transition" which mentions the same theme as Coelho talks about...the quest, rite of passage...ending, beginnings, etc. Why is it that what we are doing sometimes doesn't seem like "enough"? You have always been such an inspiration to me. Love your art, what you produce, how you raise your family...etc. Keep up the good work.

I feel this way about the salt air. I can smell it, and feel it, and it's like part of my need for oxygen. Salt in my lungs, salt in my veins. Welcome home!
