... about half a year ago my dear and oldest friend (all the way back to high school) asked me if I'd paint her a picture of her beloved Smokey Mountains.
She sent the photos and I'm sure she thought I'd get on it right away.
Not.
Well today I finally gave it a try.
I plan to try again tomorrow.
Something is not quite right.
First I procrastinated.
Now I'm obsessing.

Kimmie--don't touch a thing! I LOVE IT! If she doesn't want it, I do. Put it in your Etsy shop (but only after you let me buy it). Great job. I love the trees. I am very fond of the Smokey Mtns. My dad lived in Asheville, No. Carolina. Beautiful place.
I love the Smoky Mountains, and this painting is beautiful. I am so interested in hearing about your artistic process. What do you think is missing and what tells you so? I can't wait to hear and see --
hola kimmie!!! your paint is beautifull!!!the colours all mixed with the water!!,the trees, the mountains!!,the whites!!sure your friend will love it!!
and if you think something is missing...what???some of your lovely words perhaps??that could be nice too!!??muchos besos and have a beautifull night!!!!
It's an original and naive landscape painting. Nothing 's wrong with it. Congratulacions.
I absolutely LOVE it, don't change a thing! I'll buy it if she don't like it ....
Kimmie, this piece is stunning in it's simplicity, and the colors are serene. If you feel it needs "something", walk away from it for a few hours and then go back with new eyes. Either way - it's a beautiful piece and your friend will love it. Hugs, Terri xoxo
Beautiful Kimmie. Very you. the last couple of days I have been wondering when/if you would get back to painting in the style you used with the dots when you painted the Australia landscape. YEAH for you!
Kimmie, if I could paint like that, I would be happy, happy. It is perfect the way it is. What do you see that your readers don't? Your friend is going to love it, I'm sure.
beautiful
