In celebration of Earth Day
I just want to revisit some of my older projects using recycled stuff.
Like this Chili Cook-Off Trophy:
And this Garden Fairy named Mathilda:
And her friend named Betty:
And "Bicycle Dream Pie" .... something I made using a Fat Tire Ale beer carton and an apple pie tin:
Or the wall jewelry I made using an Alaskan Pale Ale label and a tin can lid:
Now doesn't that just make you want to go out and pick through your recycling bin looking for treasure?

you have done
your part for the environment
and art...your ideas are always
so filled with fun !
What clever ideas! I would have never thought of them. Hmmm....let's see...what can I do for Earth Day this year? Seriously.
No, but it makes me want YOU to come over here and pick through my recycling bin and make me some treasure.
yes!! happy earth day!!
You are always sooo clever, so creative. I think mother earth thanks you...and so do I, for the joy in seeing something that so perfectly says 'Life is precious...so let's make it a fun one!'
Its good to see these pieces again Kimmie.....I especially love the wall jewellery. You always inspire!
Hugs x
Kimmie, your beautiful creations really give merit to the phrase: "from trash to treasure"!!! Every day should be Earth Day! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Nice pieces... very clever way to recycle... Happy Earth Day!
Wonderful idea to post these recycled items that you turned into real treasures! Anyone would love your garden items.
Kim mie, thanks so much for re-posting these. Your recycling work has always been a huge inspiration to me and I especially love your garden fairies. You are a fearless woman to work with those tin cans!
I had NO idea you used so many recycled materials in your art. Glad you reposted these. You are truly a woman after my own heart. You have even inspired me to get out my metal and begin playing. However, I won't be doing much playing till I get all my new "stuff" put away. And probably the first thing I'll do is make one of those cool brooches like Dianne did.
What a delight to get to revisit these excellent creations! I adore what you with metal AND that it is repurposed is even more charming and wonderful!
You make earth day every day ... as it should be :)
