Oh, they do! When I see petals fallen on a crocheted doily it makes me think of centuries ago when when fresh flowers were put in the rooms almost daily and life was slower paced and people dressed for dinner. ;)

Me, too. I love to let them fall and dry up slowly. So interesting.

You've opened my eyes Kimmie,
I'm always in a hurry to move on to the next boutique.
Other than roses which I've sometimes dried out.
Thanks for reminding me I should slow down and appreciate what's happening right before my eyes!
Have a wonderful weekend. :D

I love these photos....I too really love the look of dropped petals. Most clean, tidy freaks would be picking them up as they fall lol. For me a petals' colour and fragility is high lighted once they become "individual" and not part of the "group" any more, a bit like people, mmmm too deep. They're just pretty and I love watching the texture of them slowly change. Have a great week end Kimmie. xx

These are lovely. I like how you were able to capture them so nicely. However, when I see petals on a doily, I think of several times I've had vases filled with irises. When their petals drop, they are a gooey mess and the stain never comes out of the doilies. I'm glad you didn't have any irises in your bouquets.

I do this all the time (I think I am just lazy and don't like to empty the vases) BUT you are rewarded with natural potpourri and the added texture and color that just falls at random is like fairy droppings or something. So here is to just letting them fall!!

Your petals are a gorgeous shade of orange. Our skies sort have the same hue -- but that's just not right. Lots of dust flying today. Ugh! Have a good one. Tammy

Lovely orange petals...I bet you're concocting some wonderful thing to do with them as well.
Can't wait to see....
