... but thought I'd share these photos from a field trip
this picture is from a few feet away:
this is much closer:
it's a giant sea snail
probably about 8 inches across
it was an extremely low tide so he was unexpectedly exposed for about an hour
people at the beach took turns shooing the birds away from him

field trip yesterday
field trip this morning
talent show this afternoon
retirement dinner tonight
(nobody you know)
and tomorrow is looking like a blank slate - wee hah
I'm looking forward to making the rounds to say
"hey, how are ya?"

I've never seen a sea snail like that! Wow! I'm glad you all protected it till it was safe again. And glad you are done with so many things and have a clean slate tomorrow. Enjoy!! :):)
That sea snail is amazing! Nice to hear that everyone was trying to save it. Someone else might have come along and taken it home with them. My you are keeping busy. Glad to hear a free day is coming. Best wishes, Tammy
Blimey! That is one big snail!

Fantastic shot of such a big snail. Sounds like you are busy. Enjoy your breather while you can because I'm sure you will be back at it soon enough.

Hi Jo - I've never tried bubble tea. I think it's because I heard that the "bubbles" are actually giant tapioca pearls .... I'm thinking that I would NOT like that too much at all!! (lol)
Snail is wild, never seen one that big. So glad you are field tripping with the kiddos, childhood is so short and this is what it's all about, hope you get some more tide pooling in, that was always one of our favorites! xox
You've had some pretty special field trips. I love how you can condense all those activities into two photos and paragraphs! Love your brevity!
