valentine

I have a small collection of antique valentines that I've been adding to each year
... it all started with this one from my Great Grandad to my Memaw ...

my darling proposed to me on valentines day
... ahhhh ...

these are my addition for this year
... courtesy of the superlative and quintessential eclectic Ruby Floy ...

and these are modern valentines suitable for any 12 year old
... 3-D and store bought ...

today's tea?
... rosehip and cherry from Ahmad ...
today's sky?
... robin's egg blue fading into mother of pearl pink ...

I wish you a love and affection filled day - today and always!

Happy Valentines day to everyone :)
I love all your lovely cards Kimmie. What a romantic day to have a proposal!
Your sky looks just like mine!
I forgot to mention in my post this morning, I'm drinking coffee to get me going then switching to a cranberry tea to take with me on my day out :)

I love vintage Valentine's cards. I was going to get a photo of the sunrise sky yesterday, and didn't have batteries, then today it was too foggy. Oh well. lol Love the blue sky you are under. Have a happy day.

Beautiful vintage Valentines. So sweet.
Our morning was very foggy with misty light snow at times. It's clearing up some now. If I had a little more time I'd go snap some photos. :)

Hope to stop by everyone's posts this afternoon.

I stopped by early this morning, but you weren't up yet. Glad I came back for the lovely Valentines, both vintage and new. And of course, you will never forget that one special Valentine's Day.

Have a great Tea Tuesday. Here's my Valentine and Tea post:

I was sent over here by Jean to check out tea on Tuesday and had a great time scrolling back through your posts... you have been busy lately and I am beyond envious of a teapot shaped cookie from a few posts back... I am going to go and try and hunt a cutter out at the baking supply store this morning... I think then my life will be complete... xx

I just read the comment you left abou8t my camera. Yes, I have a tulip and mountain on this Vivitar camera a friend gave me in 2004. I think it was circa 2000. I could never get the settings to work, and was so surprised the first time I used the Kodak Zi6 my friend Scott gave me a couple of years ago. It took lousy "mountain" shots, but was perfect when I used the "tulip" setting. I had to go back to the Vivitar when the Kodak broke (the on/off button fell into the case). So, it was back to horrible macro shots and only fair medium and long range shots. Thanks for asking. Believe me, I've tried quite a few focal length and close ups are simply out of the question until I get a better camera.
