like mother ... like daughter

this is my youngest
reading a book and sipping tea
she was home from school complaining of a tummyache
something a little tea and quietude would cure

kids are funny though
she just naturally turned it into a learning experience
very scientifically tasting several teas

... and rating them ...

ginger peach green tea: 2 stars
lady grey tea: 0 stars
merry mint green tea: 5 stars
pomegranate raspberry green tea: 2 stars
tazo green china tips: 4 stars
pomegranate pizzaz: 5 stars
constant comment: 4 stars

staying home and self-learning: priceless

***

Still very busy here today .... hoping for another quiet moment later this afternoon to catch up with all of the very fine tea posts of my blogger friends (you will find them in my sidebar). Stop by and say hello for me! I'll stop by a little bit later .....

I'm totally impressed that your daughter, probably encouraged by her mother, turned her sick day into a learning experience. Most children her age would stay in bed and watch TV or listen to their IPods. I am glad to see there is a real chance for our youth. You have one special young lady there. I see a big science career in her future! I bet Nicole, my blog pick of the day would appreciate your daughter's ratings as much as I did.

Hope she gets all better soon!

Well, there are wine journals, why not tea journals.....
She could do name, producer, date tasted, where tasted, purchased at, tasting comments, sight, smell, taste, overall rating, notes and food it went with. Then she could affix the tea label to the bottom of the page.:) I'm thinking of doing my own.

If she is really like her mother she will take those tea labels and make something out of them! LOL Hope she feels better....Oh by the way...Happy Birthday!

Oh your daughter is so sweet and so worldly now ,knowing the tastes of these different teas, and I love that she has rated them. Maybe her palette will be her future, tea one day, food and wine the next. I did'nt get to do tea this week, but I did last week , all be it a little late. Cheers.XX

This is just wonderful! We are thrilled to see a young tea drinker ... especially one who takes her tea drinking so seriously. (We are also happy to see that Pomegranate Pizzaz and Constant Comment received 5 and 4 stars, respectively!) Thank you for sharing!

Dear Deb at Bigelow:
Thanks for stopping by .... Constant Comment tea has been our family favorite for generations. It was probably my 1st cup of tea as a youngster - shared by my Gran. I love it hot or iced :)
