a serious need for chocolate

look at this face!
she's a real princess and it looks as if she's about to say
"where's mine, missy?"

as in: "where's my hot cocoa?"
because that's what I needed this morning

it's been a stormy day and only 42 degrees - 42 - yup, I said 42 - A R G H !
sitting here with my hot cocoa, the princess, and The Quilt
- of which, I can finally say, "DONE"
I finished the patch for the back that has names, dates, etc.
my embroidery skills are rudimentary - but love is there

(I used an old hankie for the patch)

- when I have a sunny day, I'll hang this quilt out on the line for a full photo -

and I know I will have a sunny day again soon
just trying to believe that we are in the northern hemisphere
and that the calendar actually says  M A Y

Tiny stitches, each with love....that's wonderful! Can't wait to see the full pic.
Here summer is in full swing. In the nineties almost every day...hot, sticky, muggy. Now, do you feel better? LOL
Oh, your little pooch is so pretty. I was thinking of getting me a little dog, it's been 8 years since we had one, such a nice companion.

Your princess belongs on that beautiful quilt, and the love script is just perfect by my lights. Cold and rain, the best excuse for a chocolate lift!

Beautiful, heart-felt stitches. Nice hot cocoa.

Please, please trade weather with me. Hot and sticky here! Would LOVE your May.

It's beautiful, and that embroidery looks fine and dandy to me!

Freezing here ... hot cocoa ... what a wonderful idea :)

42 F where you are and 42 C where I am -- that would be 107 degrees :/

I think the quilt was definitely worth the wait. It's beautiful!

Have a great weekend. Tammy

I feel your pain...it's been cold and rainy here as well. We had a frost advisory last night.
Love the use of a vintage hanky on the back of the quilt. I have yet to make a tag on any that I've made. Sad and dumb. Years from now I'll wish I had.

What an achievement to finish a quilt. Congratulations. I have so many unfinished quilts...I love starting them but never quite get to the end....they are in the cupboard haunting me. Puppy is so sweet, such an expressive little face. Can't wait to see all the quilt, when you finally get some warm weather. xx
