I'm making sun tea on a cloudy day
it's another Numi flowering tea
(today's is Dragon Lily)
sun tea is a perfect way to brew the green and white teas
they tend to get bitter in hot water
- so making it as sun tea is gentle way to bring out the tea flavor without the bitterness -
but today is a no-sun day
nevermind
it works anyhow
:)
summer begins here the day after the fourth of July
that's what people say
and this year it is oh so true
wishing you a happy fourth - I'm sure it's summer where you are - I've seen the weather map

Now that is some cool looking tea! Enjoy!
Summer has arrived for sure up here. Iced tea sounds delicious! :)
It is sooooo far from summer here that it is scary... had our coldest morning in years this morning... I am barely functioning I tell you... but at least we are finally rid of some of the rain... so sorry if we sent it your way... wonderful photos... I keep wanting to draw those tea flowers but then I look at all those petals and abandon the idea... maybe when I get a bit of time I will attack it...
happy Tea day...xx

I don't think I've ever seen grass through water through glass before, and it looks beautiful -- like an entire kingdom.
No Sun Tea. You learn something every day. : )
Cool photos of your tea. Love your green grass, too. The weather here is "anything with ice," especially iced tea-record heat and becoming record drought. Have a nice Tuesday Tea.
It's "daylight" tea- even if the sun is not shining!!:>) Drop by for tea (or in my case today, a smoothie -) if you get a chance!
I don't Kimmie, we were in Olympia for DD1's graduation 2 weeks ago-and I got sunburned! It only rained one in the eight days we were in the Seattle/Olympia area. Lovely pictures-I make sun tea every day in the summer-but not as artfully as you do.
wonderful shots of your Dragon Lily tea ... what a great name
I think I should try making green tea that way because I never seem to enjoy it the hot water way!
we are trying to stay cool on the east coast ... lucky to have power as some do not ... we are so grateful for air conditioning!
Happy Summertime dear Kimmie!
oxo
and here I am for tea today

:)
Certainly not summer here, even though it's supposed to be! The UK is cold and wet and has been for weeks. Grey seems to have been the predominant sky colour since September!
I have never tried warming my tea in the sun, I might give it a go when we have some!!
oh - the green grass looks postively luxurious! Beautiful color. Thanks for getting down in the grass to snap these photos to share with us.
I love dragons so I'm going to have to look for dragon-lily! Love the blooming teas. Lovely!
Lovely blooming tea! I'll join the party later today!
Beautiful shots of your tea Kimmie, and thanks for the tip about that kind of tea...I'll have to try it.
Have a fun 4th, and yes it sounds like the sun will be shining for us! We are looking forward to our first 4th here in Kirkland, just grilling and watching fireworks from our deck and maybe taking a walk to the downtown parade. Enjoy the sun my friend!
I'm back! Here's my tea post! http://piecesofd.blogspot.com/
Ooooh your photos are very cool. Love the first one with the white chair. Your tea flowers still take on 'alien' form to my eyes, especially in that last photo...love it. xx
I just found your blog today and joined on as a follower, I havebeen reading your past posts, I love the lavender art piece, its beautiful ,
iy nice to meet you,
It's hard to believe how you all are suffering in bleak cool weather and we have just the opposite. A balance would be great for us all!
Happy 4th!
I wasn't sure if summer was coming at all :)
Love the photos, and great way to steep :)
