more beach glass

inspired by my beach glass and an old book cover
(devoid of it's pages)

for this piece, I used the entire book cover
I love the dimensionality the spine gives
plus, it can stand alone - or hang on the wall

the back is teabag paper and gesso .... I would love this on my walls

ingredients:
empty book cover
book text
thread
lavender
sea glass
copper wire
tea bag paper
gesso
watercolor paint
acrylic medium

*

and the sky the last couple of days ....
ingredients:
thunder
lightning
rain

Lovely! Those green pieces with the copper wire remind me of wire-wrapped moldavite necklaces I've seen. Very pretty and unique piece.
Oh, and love your sky pic with the gorgeous clouds!!

Love this! And I just took a tour of your etsy shop! Oh my! I adore the poem collages! I've been using loose tea for a while now... but I love what you do with your tea bags, so when I'm out of loose... I might just have to go back to bags! You stone birds are so cute too! And your paintings! Oh I've missed you and I'm so glad I'm back!

This is super, Kimmie! I love that you used the entire book skeleton. How perfect.
We have been getting much need rain and cloud cover here, too. It's been a nice reprieve from the heaviness of the heat.
Peace~
