tea and pupcakes

today's tea is orange spice with an orange slice
... a cup of liquid sunshine ...
:)


and my dog has a birthday coming up soon


in fact, his neighborhood dog friends are having birthdays


are all dogs born in March?


ruff


pupcakes

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 vegetable oil
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup applesauce
1 egg
sour cream
mini dog biscuits

preheat oven to 350 degrees
line muffin tin with cupcake papers
whisk together flour and baking soda add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
spoon into muffin cups - almost to the top (makes 6)
bake 25 minutes
let cool
give sour cream a quick mix and "frost" cupcakes with sour cream
top with a mini dog biscuit
(remove paper before serving)

  1. Thanks for the pupcakes recipe. I'm going to try it this weekend. Both my dogs are born in March - two years apart. Strange, never thought about it before.

  10. Oh your pup has the sweetest face! Happy birthday to him. Jingles will be 8 next month. Maybe all cats are born in April? Ha! Minus the doggy biscuit, those pupcakes sound mighty fine for human consumption. Best wishes to you for a wonderful day! Tammy

  12. Happy Birthday to "ruff"! Both our dogs were born in the fall, so appear to be the exception to your March rule. :)

    Those pupcakes look too good for our puppy! He prefers chair and table legs-- from antique furniture! (waaaaaah!)

This is great the pupcakes.I just came from Tammys blog.Im so glad you shared this.I had just made some bannana bread and had some wheat flour, applesauce and honey left over from that.I will just make these for my two doggies a Westie and border collie.Thanks for sharing I was looking for a good recipe for them.Im a new follower,I hope you visit and follow along with me as well.
