my little town ...

... has a really neat little tea shop

I was in there yesterday and picked up a little pudgy british teapot

but I always stop to admire the exotic asian ones too

and I picked up some tea as well,
but I also stopped to admire the exotic teas from china

the shop is all decorated for christmas
and all the talk was about how busy they were this weekend
and how business is looking up

this beautiful teapot is in the front window
a lovely gift for any elegant tea drinker

and this one was on the shelf below it
... my personal favorite ...
:)

do you have any holiday shopping tales to tell?
don't forget to slow down and sip a hot cuppa

  2. I'm with you. That last teapot is adorable. Sorry, no shopping tales (unless you count my many unusable spray paints I picked up last week at my Household Hazardous Waste Swap and Shop.

I just finished cutting two pounds of limes and I want to know your secret to cutting them so perfectly. I had a terrible time. Many were cut at an angle and many were different thicknesses. Yours were perfect. I'm not sure how well mine are going to dehydrate as a result of my sloppy cutting job.

My tea post is all about a much better outcome:

Have a great tea day, dear Kimmie.

  4. Hi Kimmie, I love your painted rocks and your orange wreath. That tea shop looks like a great place to browse. I really like how the Chinese tea is packaged. Right now I am having Spiced Chai with milk. Yum! Hope your day is great. Tammy

  5. My friend and I had a lovely outing a week or so ago in a new tea shop in her town. How good it felt to sit and sip there. The tea served with little hour glass timers to tell us when it was ready to drink.

I love the funny face tea pot at the bottom, but my favorite is the one above it with the flowers on it! Wow!

Thanks for taking us along Kimmie.

  7. Lovely tea pots all, but the last one is my favorite too. I don't go shopping much but I do look forward to the annual play in Kingsville. It touches all of my emotions and is wonderful! It's different every year and then at the end everyone is singing together.
I did eat lunch with a friend at our local tea shop this last week, but didn't get any photos this time. Happy tea day.

  9. Wish we had an tea shop locally... we have a lovely little gourmet shop which has some lovely teas, but you have to go to the city for the tea shop which is a nightmare at this time of year... still it will be worth it to stock up... today I am having Japanese Green with lime to go with the almond cakes with ginger marmalade that I have in the oven... just a great combination...xx

  10. Awesome teapots! We have a gray minimalist type, and it sits upon a Japanese teapot warmer that we got in Iceland. Have you seen them? It's like a little grate on legs with a tub for a votive candle underneath--it's just enough to throw the perfect heat while (slowly) communicating with one's cup.

  11. Wow...these are great Kimmie! I love the tea pots and especially the one you consider to be your favorite as well. Always a bit of whimsy in ones like that. The ones with all the texture are incredible too and I love those flowers on the other one. It reminds me of all the wonderful flowers in your garden. I'm drinking "Good Earth" right now. Love the cinnamon flavor and have been on a bit of a jag with it lately. Can't seem to get enough of it. Maybe it's the season or something.
