tea (and) leaves

I live in "the evergreen state"


but we have much more than evergreens


there are lots of maples and chestnuts


this is a street in "the historic district" of my town
(not my street)


and a historic home on that street
(not mine either)

    But the TEA is all yours and I really wish I had all those leaves. I've been reading about steaming leaves into fabric, so I could use a few of these leaves from the evergreen branches (grin) right about now.

    I have not tried that tea yet but I am going to look for some this week. Your photos of your town look a lot like our little town. We have some beautiful orange color trees right now in our side yard. Happy TEA day!

    That neighborhood of yours looks gorgeous -- so picturesque! And Bengal tiger makes me smile -- I offered it once to a con man in my studio apartment. Long story that I will, perhaps, tell on my blog at some point. Thanks for the inspiration and the memory!

    I never tire of leafy, fall photos. These are beautiful (and if you had said that was your house, we wouldn't have been the wiser. heehee)

    I like Bengal Spice and any spiced chai. They all tatstes slightly different-- have you noticed, more clove or more ginger, etc. Some sweeter, some more peppery. Kind of like wine tasting. :)

    i was noticing the leaves this morning on my walk. one thing that is really nice here in the west is we do have evergreens, so it doesn't look quite so bleak in the winter. i gathered up some maple leaves this morning to put on the table with my pumpkin. we will have to meet for tea sometime next time i'm up your way.

    yes, your part of the country is gorgeous, and so is mine, however, I am drowning in leaves... oak, maples, honey locust... you name them, I can barely keep up!! and bengal spice is my absolute FAVORITE! xo

    We have the oaks that don't lose their leaves, but the mesquites lost their beans twice this year. Love your fall colors. Here it is fall and summer in the same week, back and forth. Now it's 85, later a front is coming in and down to 41 in the morning. Plays havoc on my plants sometimes. But they like it cooler like I do. Happy tea day.

    that sure is a gorgeous street. we have a lot of evergreens here, in fact the field is bordered by them so i have a green view all winter.
