I live in "the evergreen state"
but we have much more than evergreens
there are lots of maples and chestnuts
this is a street in "the historic district" of my town
(not my street)
and a historic home on that street
(not mine either)

my tea today?
celestial seasonings "bengal spice"
perfect for that nip in the air
But the TEA is all yours and I really wish I had all those leaves. I've been reading about steaming leaves into fabric, so I could use a few of these leaves from the evergreen branches (grin) right about now.

Beautiful Autumn photos, wonderful colours and I do fancy the spicy tea. That's one I have not yet tried.

Lovely trees and house. That stairway looks so inviting. I love the character of older homes and neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteThanks for tea today!

I have not tried that tea yet but I am going to look for some this week. Your photos of your town look a lot like our little town. We have some beautiful orange color trees right now in our side yard. Happy TEA day!

That neighborhood of yours looks gorgeous -- so picturesque! And Bengal tiger makes me smile -- I offered it once to a con man in my studio apartment. Long story that I will, perhaps, tell on my blog at some point. Thanks for the inspiration and the memory!
ReplyDeleteI never tire of leafy, fall photos. These are beautiful (and if you had said that was your house, we wouldn't have been the wiser. heehee)
ReplyDeleteI like Bengal Spice and any spiced chai. They all tatstes slightly different-- have you noticed, more clove or more ginger, etc. Some sweeter, some more peppery. Kind of like wine tasting. :)
BTW, I AM having tea today too!

i was noticing the leaves this morning on my walk. one thing that is really nice here in the west is we do have evergreens, so it doesn't look quite so bleak in the winter. i gathered up some maple leaves this morning to put on the table with my pumpkin. we will have to meet for tea sometime next time i'm up your way.
ReplyDeleteOur day is dreary here but the colors of the leaves are just popping. Thanks for showing us your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of autumn and these photos are awesome!!! spicy tea sounds good for the season too...happy T!!
ReplyDeleteyes, your part of the country is gorgeous, and so is mine, however, I am drowning in leaves... oak, maples, honey locust... you name them, I can barely keep up!! and bengal spice is my absolute FAVORITE! xo
ReplyDeleteWe have the oaks that don't lose their leaves, but the mesquites lost their beans twice this year. Love your fall colors. Here it is fall and summer in the same week, back and forth. Now it's 85, later a front is coming in and down to 41 in the morning. Plays havoc on my plants sometimes. But they like it cooler like I do. Happy tea day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful photos Kimmie. I am pretty sure I would love your " historic district". xx
ReplyDeleteHi fellow "greener"! I love "not my street", :not mine either." Ha! Beautiful times!
ReplyDeleteWe must be switching weather. We hit 70 today. No spice needed. Lovely views. xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I lived on a street so beautiful! I'll bet it's like that for every season :)
ReplyDeleteYour tea even sounds yummie :)
For a minute I thought we might live in the same town...looks like fall here too and same or similiar old homes. Love 'em.
ReplyDeleteHappy tea drinking!!!
Gorgeous. Fall!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great tea, I'll have to look for that one.
ReplyDeletethat sure is a gorgeous street. we have a lot of evergreens here, in fact the field is bordered by them so i have a green view all winter.
ReplyDeleteI love the Historic Districts in American towns... So much more soul usually then the newer parts of town. Lovely images!
ReplyDeleteI've been drinking Celestial Seasonings Chai India Spice for the last couple of days... The spice does seem to warm me more.
