dew

it is a late summer morning

and the sun is just peaking up over the rim of my teacup

the shadows are long and golden

and dew is over everything

a string of gems on every leaf

* * *

school starts tomorrow
and "dew" becomes "do"
it has been a happy summer
but, as happens every year, we are all happy to get back to our work

wishing you all a happy tuesday
filled with the refreshment of dew
and the inspiration of doing

do you have a tea post to share?
mention it when you leave a comment, and we'll pop around to say hi
:)

Gosh, I love a good shadow and that is a great one! Another wonderful post. I'd like to hear more about that interesting cupboard in the last photo. The table in front is pretty cool too. Wish I could join you for tea, but so it goes. Have a great day.

Lovely post and photos as usual Kimmie. It is too dry for even dew here, but I have been 'doing' a lot around here. Did wake up to autumn like weather but already getting hotter. Happy tea day!

i enjoyed your post today. i am drinking tea, chia latte, my favorite morning drink. i too noticed the dew on the leaves and grass this morning on my walk. even though the daily temp is up in the 80/90s' the mornings feel like fall. enjoy your day.

Hi Kimmie, lovely post! I had planned to join you for tea today but when I came by earlier, you hadn't yet posted. We started back to school yesterday. Kids are happy so far. :) Best wishes to you and yours, Tammy

I can't believe I was out the door so early this morning I was too early to leave a comment. Since I had so many items on my list, I am just now returning home to mark the last few items off that same said list. Sorry because I don't mean to be out of step with tea today. Here is mine (finally):

Great shots, Kimmie! Love them all, but my fave is of the dewdrops -- ahhhh, yes. I have a fondness for those sweet fairy's tears sprinkled on a morning garden!!! Time to get back into a routine for me too! Hugs, Terri xoxo

such beautiful, peaceful photos -- and I love your painted armoire --

I am so ready for school to start tomorrow; while we've had a happy summer, too, I'm ready for them to go!

I can really feel the peace of the arising morning, the tea cup is precious. The anticipation of doing the next year of work, school and artwise.

Beautiful photos. I don't have anyone to send off to school these days, but I remember those times.
