tea in the dark

we're gradually having more daylight,
but it's still quite silvery at 8 a.m.

it makes it hard to get out of bed

but get of bed I must!
I'm having delicious and fragrant red clover tea
and a "Scotch Oatcake" to go with it
it is a recipe from my husband's family and is to die for
shouldn't that expression be: to live for (?)
that would convey the fact that it's a good reason to get out of bed in the morning
...... the prospect of an oatcake ......
:)

Great Recipe!!!

I also want to show you the beautiful gift sent to me from Steph

she made this lovely mini-collage
one of my favorite words
a word to live by

thank you Steph!
I will treasure the gift and your great thoughfulness!
Steph is just one of these wonderful "tea on tuesday" bloggers:

Oh I will have to live to try those oat cakes, they do look yummy! I know what you mean, we have been silvery for awhile too! Though I can't complain today it is supposed to be in the 70's. Have a great day, love the new section on What is Tea on Tuesday. Happy day, Christen

I just had a big bowl of oatmeal for dinner, with dried cranberries and walnuts. Yum! I will definitely be trying these oatcakes. When we get up for school at 6:00 am, it is pitch black outside, but by about 6:40 am, the sun is shining bright. Hope you are having a great day. Tammy

I am trying to make tea on Tuesday here in my office today. I have a new electric tea pot I am using for the very first time. I didn't think it was working but all of a sudden I heard something and went to check. The water is starting to heat up! Oh good. Soon I will have tea: apple cinimon. My favorite by Celestial Seaons. Your oatmeal cake looks nummy.

Red clover has gotten my attention, but scotch oatcakes!! They look and sound divine! If it snows like they say...6 inches, I will make them tomorrow!

What a gorgeous and thoughtful gift. I,m sure you will put the little charms to good use. I love these old hand written recipes, worn and stained and i am sure they are much better for us than any "commercially " made biscuit, enjoy it with your tea today.xx

When I saw this post on my sidebar this morning, I thought "OH NO, another person whose power is out!" Thankfully, that was not the case.

I love the new Tea Tuesday header. If you don't mind, I'm going to copy your Tea Tuesday picture and link it to your TT page.

Isn't Steph the sweetest? Her gift to me came while I was at the Post Office. Not quite as warm as the library, but a necessity. Thanks for your sweet comments about my plight. I appreciate them. And have a great Tea today, even though it's now Wednesday.
