spring blooms

("Hellebore" is also known as the Lenten Rose)

Here are 2 more of my flower twinchies.
(I'm creating a flower alphabet of the flowers growing in my garden)
Right now, the hellebores are blooming profusely ...
and the crocuses are carpeting lawns and flowerbeds all over town.

I just love this size!
- 2 inches square -
a "twinchie"
I'm using the white Twinchie Square bases from Inchie Arts.
The thickness and size of the thing just begs to be picked up and held in your hand
that's my kind of art format :)

Those are beautiful, Kim! I have a lot of hellebore in my garden and just took some photos of them. I didn't realize that they're the Lenten Rose --

These are so stunning - I adore the Hellebore - one of my favourite flowers and mine are just beginning to peak through - they are late because of the cold weather

I had just finished posting my art journal page devoted to hellebores when I ran across your blog at a friend's blogsite. We should form a hellebore-lover's club. You can see my drawings at www.calico-paint.blogspot.com

Ah yes, that's definitely a size I could manage ... and the idea of recording your garden is such a lovely one. You are, as ever, an inspiration!
