inchie abc's

here I am with the letters "a" through "g"

and this week is the letter "h"

It's all part of the Inchy by Inch weekly challenge (which must be in true inchie form - meaning 1" - no twinchies or inchie plus sizes) ..... no prob! inchies are a sort of "first love" for me anyway.

So with this project, I want to go through the alphabet with what I consider to be important touchstone words in my life.

My idea is to fill this teacup with an alphabet of precious words and I can randomly grab one when I need a bit of a boost about something. You see, all the words I'm using are verbs. Sometimes I want so much to DO something about something that is beyond my control or a complete puzzlement - and these words are verbs that don't all connote ACTION - but many of them support what could be perceived as INACTION. I guess a restful action is what I mean.
And that really really helps me.

abide

build

choose

dream

embrace

find

give

hear

... so next week, look for the letter "i."

Oh, and BTW, I still am going forward with my flower garden archive that I began a few weeks ago (in the twinchie size).
I'm currently working on Hellebore .... the lenten rose. It's a real beauty :)

I love the idea of picking inchies out of a tea cup and being 'boosted'... a bit like reading the tea leaves... maybe not!

I love them all, and such lovely words, my favourites are 'Dream' and 'Hear'. I love the bird he looks like he is smiling! The trim is gorgeous too :)

Looking forward to seeing 'I' and all that follow.

What a super idea! Very nice inchies in design also. I've heard of prompt cards and I've heard of people using cards such as Tarot to give them something to think about but this is a great way of keeping inspiring personal words at hand.

..and a nice little alpha collection...the 'hear' one is sweet, love the green trim at the bottom. Can't wait to see what you do with 'i'

I love the alphabet for inspiration and you have used it beautifully. Since you've started making these inchies, I have really started enjoying them. I always thought they were too small before.

I've featured you today (Mar 3) as my blog of the day. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

Kimmie--

Yes that would be great if you wanted to join us. The swap is for 99 inchies and anything goes. You can make them all different OR you can make a group of no more than 5 that are alike. Does that make sense? I'll add you to the list and can I send you a PM on SCS to give you my email address? Then if you send me a quick email, we can stay in touch that way. LMK

What a LOVELY idea! But am not sure my poor brain can cope with something as teeny as inchies ... although these are just beautiful.

I adore this idea! And also love the Twinchie size. You are so reminding me of something--I wrote a song, years ago, that went through the alphabet with herbs, "The Herbalist's Lament". I always wanted to do a book, but...Twinchies, and Inchies, or Tripplies, oh my!
