Welcome!

Welcome to today's little global Tea on Tuesday Tea Party!

I am not REALLY having tea out of these faerie sized tea cups (though my children have before). I'll actually be having a lovely cup of Red Zinger tea (hibiscus and rose hips) ... a tea my grandmother introduced me to when I was about 9 yrs old.

What am I up to today?
Well, I start off Tuesdays with Shel Silverstein and a boy at school who needs a little Shel Silverstein in his life.
We read for about 30 minutes and have a chuckle here and there at the genius and logic in all of Shel's rhyming "nonsense."
It's nonsense that makes perfect sense.
Especially when the world all around us is not making much sense at all.

Then I come home for tea and a visit with all of my blogging friends.

Around about lunchtime, I'll head back to school with a hot lunch for one of my own.
The picky one who hates sandwiches and WILL NOT eat them.
And - I know it - I'm wrapped around her little finger (quite shamelessly).

After that, I think I'll spend the afternoon with my camera and springtime.

Then it's off to a dead run from 3 pm to about 9 pm.
I guess those are my clock hours around here.
But I wouldn't trade it for any other time clock in the world.

How about you?
What are you up to today?

I joined your tea party this morning - at the last minute-I now have it on my calendar, so I don't forget!! My day is running off to my volunteer at the thrift store and then hopefully back home before the rain starts up AGAIN!!!I am ready to buy a light that simulates sunshine just to keep me happy!! Have a great day!!!

the teeny tiny aspharagus tea service is precious, nothing like tea parties with little people! Our boys Loved SSilverstein, Sara Cynthia Stout who never took the garbage out was one of their all time favorites...boys! I will be playing in my studio today as I Love to each day. Tonight I'll meet with a once a month fun group of quilters called the Woolie Nuts, a really fun bunch! Here is my Tuesday Tea post:

I love the tea set -- and the rest of your post. There's a sweetness to the mundane, and I'm happy that you appreciate it and convey it in such a lovely way. Happy Day!

This is soooo cool! I have actually been thinking of doing something like this on my own blog but I was never really sure how to do it...
So I'm sipping Honey Vanilla White Tea at my desk. I've been here since 7:30 am and will be here until 4 busting my butt at a job that I mostly love. But its likely that I'll spend most of the time thinking of how to get my almost 3 year old to stay asleep at night. Just did a little research on it and I'm pretty sure we have just spoiled her but she is so lovely that its hard not to! But I am sooo tired.
Then when I leave I'll pick her and we'll head home for dinner with daddy. It will be a typical, wonderful Tuesday to be alive!
Thanks for inviting us over for tea. I had fun!

Kimmie,
Also when you have a moment I would love to know more about what a "backlink" is. Can you help?

Hi Kim :) what a lovely little tea set!
My tea time was short but felt wonderful today--outside on the deck between little showers!

Kimmie,
I did it! Yay! Thanks for showing us how to "backlink". Yes that is a difficult thing to portray cuz you can't really do it to show it!
So I realized that I did your tea party all wrong and I didn't post it to my blog! I'll be sure to do that next week if you have tea again! I'll catch on!
Thanks for your help as always!
