it's been a whirlwind here these last few weeks with getting ready for an open studio event in my home yesterday
... and now I am breathing again!
(the tall guy putting out my signs)
(Lisa Lee from Inchie Arts demonstrating technique)
(Roof and Floor and their gifts for the home)
(art and cards from Mary Klump Studio)
(my dining room table transformed into a beautiful mess of color)
I got so busy, I forgot to take more photos ... so I'll have to give you some word descriptors:
sharing ideas
making connections
de - isolating (is that a word?)
uncovering dreams
discovering hopes
meeting kindred spirits
learning to play again
laughing
confiding
listening
watching
inspiring
encouraging
get the picture?
The biggest thing for me was the de-isolating.
I have worked for so long in my own little virtual world - enjoying connection but missing contact. It just feels so good to come together. And we all agree to do it again, to play some more, and to dream together.

What a SWEET post!
Sounds like it went off as planned, and looks like everyone had a great time. I agree many of us need to de-isolate, especially when we get stuck in a rut and don't get out of it. You seem to have found the perfect ticket, though. Great post and wonderful art (and other goodies).
Contact is SO essential...looks like it was delightful...Yes--Breathe deep!
Sounds like fun! Ps....don't you just Love that the boys in your picture don't have shoes on and are probably just seconds away from a crash! Frankly, I probably would have been the one on the horse! :) Laura
I could use some de-isolating...so you created together but did you also open it to the public to sell items? Sounds like fun.
Yes Jill, it was a "market" too - and lots of fun! We're already making plans to do it again in the summer :)
Fantastic! Connection is so important. Add in creativity and you have the perfect combination. Looks like fun! Best wishes, Tammy
What a wonderful idea ! It looks like your day was just magical, Kim ! I too, know that isolating feeling of working away in our own space, and de-isolating with other sweet like minded souls is such a gift !
So glad for you !
That looks like a fabulous event - I wish I lived closer and could have attended!
