home ec.

My stove top was a MESS! After years of scrubbing with steel wool (bad choice) I had permanent scratches, rust, etc. After consulting with my sister in law, I went to Home Depot for high temperature appliance paint. It's a JennAir with removable cartridges so painting was easy (outside). This is the end result:

I know this is an art blog, but I just had to share :)

Wow looks fantastic. There is a paint for everything now. The porch and deck paint I am using on my floors is a dream to play with. xox

Just what I needed, was trying to clean my stovetop today, not done often enough, as I prefer to make art than clean, and it looked a lot like yours and I was wondering what the heck to do and you just gave me a solution, thank you.

Nice post. I just re-painted my washer and dryer. The laundry room had a make over. New tile and wall cover. It leads to the back hall which leads to the back door. It's also where muddy dogs spend time drying out. SO, new paint on closet doors. Its amazing what paint can do and the excellent quality paint that is available.

Like you, I've used steel wool on my stove, which was also a bad choice. I appreciate the tip. and after all, that IS art, just not the kind we normally consider.

Love your new blog header, too.

I think painting your stove and having it turn out so beautifully is a true "art". Great job.

Wow. That is so good to know. I wonder if it works on washing machines and dryers?
