ghost flowers

 the hydrangeas are slowly disintegrating

leaving behind a lovely lacework of their former glory

I had to snip a few and bring them in

ghost flowers - not your everyday halloween decoration

Hydrangeas really are one of those flowers that are spectacular dead and alive.

Lovely ghosts !
Have you ever tried a Microfleur Flower Press (http://www.microfleur.com/) ? You place the flowers in the press and use the microwave for 30 seconds to dry flowers and press them beautifully. Hydrangea are so beautiful dried and the ghostly ones would be gorgeous !
Happy spooking !

I didn't know petals would do like leaves do. It's beautiful! I wonder if any other flowers do that????

They are most beautiful in decay Kimmie. I almost like them better as they fall away. xox

I love my hydrangeas; even when they are 'dying' they are quite magical...
