my little prim and proper project from last week
has evolved
or should I say
invovled
I had an idea that involved shopping
ugh!
... it was a simple idea ...
but this is what it took to execute it:
Home Depot tool department to buy a soldering iron
Online Shopping for copper foil tape (which took nearly a week to arrive)
Local Craft Store for copper jump rings
Lowe's for plate glass and glass cutting tool
Home Depot again for solder and flux
will I do this again?
I have all the supplies to do it
but I have to first get over my exhaustion

Hahaha ! It looks gorgeous tho ! A job well done, and next time it will be easier, so of course you have to do it again. I love it. I would like to see a whole series please of little botanical glass hangers. xx
Pretty nice for a first time soldering ! Your flowers look lovely under glass.
Rest well ! ;-)
I hear ya! I hate when projects start to take on a life of their own...not in a good way! but you are right...you have everything you need now...and your little prim & proper does look grand...
Well now that you have the supplies the next project will be simpler. Had you ever tried soldering before? It turned out really nice.
God i know! Why can't everything just be in one place??? Looks beautiful though. Once you got everything together was it hard to do??
Hugs! deb
It's so much fun, you should do it again! It looks really great for a first time soldering, but I would also solder the edges all around. I'm looking forward to seeing more:)
Hugs,
Gaby
LOL at least next time you have the supplies on hand so no more running about, that way you should not be so exhausted!!!!
Oh, you make me laugh!
well it turned out beautifully, Thank god right?! hahaha

It's very pretty...but yes I would definitely say involved!! Now you have a whole new set of tools and skill to add to your toolbox. I'm sure we'll see more of this medium from you.
You've learned to solder!!! It's on my list...(a long list of what I want to learn) Of course you have to do more!
It turned out so well you know you will just have to try another one!
Oh I know that feeling! the simplest of projects can become monumental feats of organisation before one even begins!
It looks well worth the effort :D
Perfect result for the project! It was well worth all the exhaustion and the next one will be easier and quicker. Don't stop there!

Having gone through so much to get here, you HAVE to make more! If not more framed paintings than framed somthing-else. Your prim is lovely!
beautiful. thanks for sharing the process. good for you for persisting in what turned out to be a complex journey.
I hate to shop too.
Well it's certainly adorable. It does sound exhausting though.....but I am sure now that you have all those supplies we will be seeing more soldered goodies coming from your kitchen table! xox
funny how what we think will be a simple task can turn into a royal goose chase and more!
that said
obviously good things are worth waiting for ... just look at your finished creation!!!
