celebrating a birthday

my youngest is eleven now

and all I can say is, "where did the time go?"

and I've been thinking ...

will the next eleven years fly just as quickly?

so I embrace the child and savor the day

the party garlands I made by:
folding squares of paper cut from magazines and attaching them to string
threading small pony beads onto ribbon
threading larger glass beads also onto ribbon
and the inimitable crepe paper garland I love so much
*
the wonderful birthday tablecloth is Restoration Hardware (circa 2001)
*
and the sky is last night's sunset

I was thinking about you and your daughter this morning when I wrote my 9/11 post. I hope she had a great birthday and a fun celebration. I love all those banners you have made. It all looks so festive.

A very happy birthday to your girl...and to you...remember you were the one doing all the hard work that day. *wink* It's my parents anniversary today as well. It would have been 41 years.

Yes, they will fly by! So pay close attention, take pictures, savor each day. It's wonderful--even the trying times. :):)

The time may fly but the memories will last forever and you are making those memories so special. I hope your daughter had a wonderful birthday. It's no time , I assure you, before they are over 40 with children of their own so make the most of it before they fly the nest!
Love joZarty x

A big belated Happy Birthday to your youngest! I imagine the next 11 years will fly too as I have one who just celebrated her 21st and one already at 23 and those years flew. And, my son is a Senior. I KNOW this year will fly!
