my book is The Double Comfort Safari Club
- eleventh in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series -
and the second to the last book




I have been putting off coming to the end of these wonderful books
but today is a perfect day to escape to Botswana




african redbush (rooibos) tea figures prominently in the stories
and the health benefits are becoming well known

while I was out walking today, I found this skeleton blossom
it's from a hydrangea bush
... amazing ...

    Blogger keeps eating my comments, because I know I left one here! I think I told you that I've read about five of those books but not in years, so I'm glad you reminded me of them! Also, I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing McCall Smith at UCLA one evening several years ago -- he was incredibly charming and very, very funny -- and he wore a kilt! I adored him.

    I love your fragile, skeleton leaf and the one under glass too, just beautiful. Have not read these books, but they are appealing. I have just finished The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver set in the Belgian Congo: wonderful book. xx

    Love rooibos tea - drink it all the time. I have 4 of that series- I may have to start reading them- time to stop collecting them and get with reading them!!!

    I have never read any of those books, and didn't even know about them until I read about them in an earlier post on your blog. But tea and a good book are so good and relaxing.

    BTW, I love your cheese plate dome and how you have decorated it. Nice leaf in this post, too.

    I read all the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series -- some of them were laugh out loud fun to read. My aunt says she went and saw a movie of the first book, One for the Money -- Katherine Heigl is playing the lead.

    Love rooibus. I have some vanilla rooibus. And creme caramel rooibus. Yum!

    Hope your Tuesday is better than mine. I had a slight accident that makes me mad and sad at the same time. Ugh!

    at the risk of being "that person" who says I've seen the movie...I was SO taken with the brief episodes of No 1 Detectives...the accents and sights and beauty of Botswana...the books must be a total delight!

    i have been nudged...walked the dog and am having some more tea! i love leaf skellies...xo...i have found an author who is considered 'religious' rather than 'fiction' but is so much more! i stumbled upon him at the library, michael d. o'brien...island of the world...loved it...am now on strangers & sojourners which is the beginning book in a trilogy...there are actually 6 books but only the first 3 are in order ...i have not read the no. 1 ladies detective books, but like patty, watched them on the telly...happy tea tuesday, kimmie, pop over if you have time..

    Yay! I'm here (sorry to be such a pain blogger and wordpress don't seem to want to be friends or something).
    I love to find skeleton leaves but I don't thing I have ever found a skeleton blossom before. It looks like it came from a dogwood.
    I had my mammogram done last week so I am heathy and fine so I pass the health nudge on to the next person.
