I love it. So pretty. How about Night Shades? Night Lights? Nights in Shining Armor? You could make any word play look beautiful with your creative brush strokes.
totally charming already Kimmie... night holds special magic with its own special light mystery and glow... the crescent moon last night was the most beautiful slice...tonite it's too cold and windy to have a look...brrr
Go for it!! I think it is great. I thought of doing "night paintings" when I was in college but I think I was drunk when the idea struck and so it never took root, lol. I am loving the "night surfing" /super!! Peace~ Dawn
Night can be so scary, for adults as well as children, but your illustrations are inviting and rather mystical. And a bit quirky! (Which I love!) Onward!
Love it! I think it would be visually wonderful - I love looking at the pics, kids would too. You can always test it out at blurb.com. I put together a little book using my cactus paintings and just bought 10 copies for family. Helps to see the layout, type style, etc.
I do night washing often in summer so the clothes don't fade in the heat and humidity here.... just have to watch for the fruit bats in the mango trees... not pretty to wake up to washing covered in fruit bat droppings... love the sky in these and think they would be an amazing series...xx
Really great. I think you are always creating in your mind and so whatever you come up with will always be great. Sometimes we just can't help ourselves. Inspiration is everywhere!
i think this is a fertile field, and the illustration just right in tone and color > night gardens, night flights, night feasts < carry On!
ReplyDeleteYou are very creative and oh such a good artist. I think this concept suits you well.
ReplyDeleteOh this could be so much fun!!! You go girl!!! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

I think you are very talented! I love your work, Kimmie.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! carry on!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful Kimmie. The first thing I thought of was 'night owls' or 'night songs', because I hear one out my window right now. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like it -- do you remember Cooper Edens? More "precious," perhaps than your work, but quirky like yours.
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are so lovely. I know whatever your creative mind can think up will be great. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteLove love it. Paintings are fab and the idea is great!!! The moon and stars are charming and the trees and grass so animated. Go for it. xox Corrine

ReplyDeleteSo clever!! My girl wrote a short story that I really want to illustrate but I'm not good at drawing people.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a wonderful idea especially for those children afraid of the dark. Lovely.
