after school I made myself a cup of tea
and this was my view
it felt good to sit down and watch some busy hands at work
my 10 yr old is making waldorf tissue paper stars
(here's the link for a great how-to)
they are a spot of color in an otherwise dreary day
hanging in the window the light transforms
and the color spills
my tea today: Bengal Spice by Celestial Seasonings
oh, and don't forget the cookies to go with that tea!
***
are you able to take a break?
what do you see?
I hope it's a spot of color in your day
:)

The stars are wonderful -- thank you for the link! And I think I've told you that I once offered Bengal Spice tea to a con man in my tiny studio apartment in NYC many idiotic years ago!

I'm in love with those stars. I haven't seen how they were made yet, but I'm hoping it's not too difficult.
Just got on the internet after four days of not being able to connect. SO glad to be back, too. I'm finally here for tea of sorts:

your stars are just killer, and I am finally able to sit down and have some tea, and maybe make some cookies too! whew! galleries are filled and now on to the publication deadlines, but so nice to come here and take a break! ciao bella!!
Very pretty stars...
Kids and cookies and stars, oh my :) what a lovely combination. Thanks so much for the link to making the stars :) Happy Tea day, so glad I could join you all today.
I love those stars!
I tried to make shortbread tonite but left it in the oven too long. Probably not a good idea to try and bake when you have a migraine. :/
Happy tea day!

Well done for your daughter. Lovely stars. It's a nice image in my head now, tea and cookies and a crafting kid at the table.
Awesome stars. What a warming post. Doesn't get much better than your tea-time! (Baking cookies tomorrow.)
those are beautiful! i'm going to make some for my window! i usually cut snowflakes but i could use some color...it also helps the birds to see the window...xo
Kimmie, if I am unable to get back online before Tuesday, would you PLEASE post my Tea Tuesday link. Thank you in advance, as I can no longer get a picture on my computer.
love the stars. that is so great that your kids enjoy crafting also. i have one that does and the other doesn't want anything to do with it.
Gorgeous paper stars! I need some in my windows! Your tea looks yummy too. I NEEDED to visit you today!
Thanks for the link. I am going to make these. I finally have a novel idea for curtains in y studio. Now all I have to do is find a way to lift them when I need to see out.
These are beautiful.
I made one! Thanks to you and your daughter. It's so pretty. I can only get better. Thank you for sharing this delightful project.
