Lo, how a Rose e’er blooming from tender stem hath sprung!
Of Jesse’s lineage coming, as men of old have sung.
It came, a floweret bright, amid the cold of winter,
When half spent was the night.

    Seeing that rose reminds of Seal's song Kiss From a Rose. Happy belated birthday to your daughter. My 16 year old asked for red velvet for his birthday but I never did make it.
