gifted tea

today's tea was a gift
(from the ever lovely Pat at Artfully Ooglebloops)

the tea is just part of the gift
but what a cool tea it is!
the tea bag nests right in your cup
(Ineeka is the brand and HERE is the link)

my cup and saucer are stepsisters
the orphaned saucer is happily paired with my saucerless mug

.... and this is the treasure box from Pat ....

I was blown away to tell you the truth
there is so much here!
lots of vintage treasures ... just begging to be remade into cool stuff
I can't wait to dig in and create something special to send back to her :)

thank you Pat!
and thank you to all of you who stop by for tea on Tuesdays!
it's nice to take a break with you!

  1. Very interesting tea...bag? :)
I used to have many orphan cups and saucers and then donated them to a jewelry maker who cut them up and made beautiful things out of the pieces....broken china jewelry. Happy tea day to you.

  8. That is one, high tech, steeping thingamujig! I got a box from Pat too and I thought about making her something to send back too! Wouldn't it be funny if half her stuff returned in another form? Would she make room for it then? heehee

Your mug and saucer look like a natural pair!

I am having tea today too.

As you know I collect orphaned tea cups and put them up for adoption... I have a few new ones to post before I set the orphange up at a fall festival later this month! My Tuesday Tea post is here:

  14. BTW, the ring and the blue glass insulator go together, and the slide is, I believe, of Mount Vernon. You made the box look so good!! Consider it a happy b'day too!!!!
