an easy box to make

I made these small boxes out of old book covers.
They are the perfect size to organize small things that I also want to display.
Some of the odds and ends on our workdesks are quite beautiful in their own right.
They need a special container to show them off.

 you will need:

old book covers
a ruler
an x-acto knife
twine, ribbon or strips of fabric
(and I added paper folded and glued over the top edges to make them more "finished")

Sweet upcycle, those should last quite a long time. Love your display and seeing your chunky, textured carved stamps. xox Corrine

Ok..how is it that you are so smart! Wow! Love these too!! Seriously...please tell me that you do silly things at times like forget to cut the tag off a new shirt or leave the house without brushing your hair.

Wow...great idea! Where do you come up with these, Kimmie? I think that instead of throwing away some of the books that I have sorted from the move, they might become boxes instead. Great idea!
