tea and company

my kitchen table has been taken over by a puzzle
(Not really ... It's on a plywood board and can be moved.)
but it's like the elephant in the room
it's the last thing on my list of things to do
... so I won't.
Oh look, there's a sweet doggie ......

he says, "please come outside with me"

"o.k., sweet doggie, let's go outside, even though it's soggy soggy wet out there."

Featured in today's post:
my grandmother's tea cup (Lennox "The Orchard")
Cobalt Blue English Teapot
Constant Comment Tea (delicious)
daughter's jigsaw puzzle in progress
Bouvier des Flanders (Theodore)
The Quilt (quite quite soaked)

  1. I really do love your tea posts! Puzzles make me feel guilty. I feel like I should be doing them, my kids should be doing them, but we don't.

  4. Kimmie, this is such a fun post. Had to laugh at Theodore. They want to go out when it's bad and want you right there with them. Your quilt is really getting a good soaking from the weather. And I really like that tea cup. So, so pretty. have a wonderful, albeit late, Tea Tuesday.

  6. The tea cup is lovely and what a beautiful set it makes with the blue teapot. I just love pairing the odd teapot with coordinating cups...

  9. Theodore is ADORABLE!!! I know I'm a day late (Christmas duties), but I've enjoyed your tea this morning. Seeing that puzzle board on your kitchen table reminded me that we used to do the same thing when I was a kid. There was always a puzzle board on a table somewhere in the house, and we'd all try to put in a few pieces whenever we passed by! Thanks for resurrecting a fun memory! Hugs, Terri xoxo
