Christmas?

If it's Halloween and Election Season
it must be almost Christmas
right?

... wrong.
But if you're in Penny's 12 Days of Christmas Matchbox Swap,
you're almost out of time!
I signed up for Eight Maids-a-Milking
and then got carried away with Christmas gift ideas
like these matchboxes (matches included)
to pair up with a candle.
Only problem:
you can't mail matches.
They are a hazardous substance.
yikes.

... so these will have to go to friends who are near - but not far.
Alas.
And all this Christmas crafting has me almost sick of Christmas - already!
Maybe I'll get in the mood when this bleeping election is over.

  5. I love to "put together" gifts... mismatched, but coordinating teapot and cups; vintage teacups and beaded teaballs (with tea of course); mugs and bookmarks; you get the idea... matches and candles... love it!

  8. Great gift idea for anyone who loves to light candles. They are just so soft and lovely-contrasts greatly from the hardness of the matches.

  9. I didn't realize you weren't supposed to mail matches..but it does make sense. I DID, however, receive an altered matchbox-complete with matches-in a swap a few years ago! I love your little boxes..I would mail them empty with intructions to fill them with matches...they aren't expensive to buy and they'd have refills!!
