T and morning sun

how unusual to have the sun streaming in so early in the morning!
where I live is subject to the whims of marine air ...
... which is usually quite wet!
June gloom
or
June-uary
but not today!!!

***
as you know I've been working on a series:

page 1 is completed
my plans for the next page are devoted to one animal only
a magnificent and gentle animal
the
manatee
an animal that in all it's softness and slowness and simple need for habitat
relies on humans to be mindful and careful and generous of spirit

***
thank you to everyone for your kind comments through these oil spill posts
it is a lovely thing to share an awe and appreciation of nature

  4. It's so good to see this series together. I had no idea they were all drawn on the same page. I'm always happy when I see an environmental post, and this one is no different. I look forward to the manatee gracing your newest page.

Happy Tea Tuesday. If I didn't know any better, I would think that was coffee you were drinking (grin).

I'm glad you brought up June uary in your post. Most people visit California (which is of course a "few miles" south of you) in the summer and are so disappointed. Winter is the time to visit the west coast for the sun and enjoyable days. June is seldom a good time, and that reminder brought back a flood of memories from when I was out there on company business during the months of June and July several years ago.

  9. Love seeing these beautiful creatures together on one page, Kimmie. Interesting that you're doing a manatee next. When my daughter was little, she had a plush manatee that she carried around - She named him "Hugh". True story. From the minds of children. Hugs, Terri xoxo
