work or play?

I thought I'd be real transparent and show you my work space
we are friends, right?
so I know you won't be horrified at the mess

sometimes I have to thank God for doors that shut

and a table to call my own
***
My work space is in a corner of the family room.
That is a huge improvement over where it used to be.
... in the laundry room ....
The cupboard was a wedding gift from my very best friends in the whole world.
They must have had an instinct that I would one day NEED a cupboard that is off limits to everyone but me .....
"ask me first before you go in there looking for tape, glue or a stapler!!!"

  7. Thanks for sharing your workspace. Fortunately, you work on little pieces of art. Love that you have cupboards with doors. And the window, what a treat. I might have to share my mess with you. It's pitiful, but I am in full swing.

  8. He hee...now, I don't feel so bad about mine. Love that storage chest you have...I have a corner in the guest room. I go through withdrawl when one of our mother's is staying with us. It's my favorite place in the entire house, as I'm sure, your space is!

  9. Thanks for sharing your workspace, Kimmie. Now, I don't feel so bad about my place. Yesterday I've spent the afternoon tidying up my place - AGAIN! It seems whenever I turn my back a gremlin starts messing the place up.

  10. Mess Kimmie??? What Mess?????? My workspace is a constant frustration to me. i have no sooner got to looking tidy and businesslike again than it gets cluttered and full of junk. I am fortunate to have aroom but it isn't big enough and we have so many shelves for books, there's not much room for pictures. Anyway, I'll quit moaning and say that your room looks gorgeous and I love your view x

  12. Oh man! I am in trouble (good trouble)! I was browsing the web a bit for Zentangles and ran across your blog. I loved your Zentangles, so I popped in for a look-see and I love all your stuff! :) Love the girls sweaters (whatever mistakes you think are there make them perfect!), love your mousetrap art, love the tea/wine art journal ...

    I'm feeling quite inspired! :)

  16. such a sweet space that you have, and with your family around you (i imagine) at times...and, you teach me again=i won't be able to use "no space" as a reason again for not creating. such amazing work comes from your spirit, not the size of the space/'studio'. such energy between the great view and your home!.

  17. Kimmie , I think I have a little more place , and there is over no place for working more than 20x20 cm , the rest is full of stuf that I collect over the day .
    Love Rini

  18. This isn't MESS, it's "creative chaos". Think positive and tell yourself things could be worse (back in the laundry) and keep dreaming of the day when you can have a whole ROOM to yourself!!
