Sugar Cane Field (by the side of the road)
I painted this one after I got home from my trip.
It was one of those "out the side of the moving car" photos.
I'm showing you the photo too ....
not because I did a great job copying the photo ....
but to show you it doesn't HAVE to look "just like it."
ooo this is wonderful! you could scan this, manipulate it, layer it in PS or picasa...reuse in other work!! you could also print it out and journal over it!!
ReplyDeleteit would make a beautiful fabric print too...
did you finish your knitting??
the lines in your painting are really very contemporary looking...thanks for posting the photo that is fun to compare!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your artistic interpretation of this awesome photo. Gorgeous lines! xoxo
ReplyDeletekimmi.....thanks....love the HEY IT DOESN'T HAVE TO LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME....your painting is much more exciting, interesting, beautiful than the photo....how rewarding for you. and another lead for me....such patient marks you make, too. rich. wonderful. ah.
ReplyDeletesistori, my word verification letters below.
you make things so very intricate and interesting, you have such a wonderful quality of texture you add to everything.. i really like this one
ReplyDeleteNo, it certainly doesn't have to look like the photo -- except the way you've done it is to paint what is essential. Essential, probably, to your eye. That is fascinating to me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great interpretation. I love it. I loved seeing the picture, your inspiration, then seeing how you made it your own. Thanks@!
ReplyDeleteI like this SO much!
