... to Whidbey Island
a short ferry ride on the Puget Sound
a short ride in the car from Clinton to Langley
the water was like glass
the kids looked for creatures
clam shell angel wings
beady eyed crabs
stone hearts
green was the color of the day
and sunshine was the roof over our heads

ReplyDeleteI didnt know you were so close to Whidbey Island. My best friend from college's sister lives there and has for years. She owns a little shop there too selling craft and sewing stuff.

When I was a kid we had relatives that lived on an island in Puget Sound. Getting down to the water from their house was such a fun adventure. Thanks for bring back those memories for me.
