I'll share a little technique with you ...
(It helps if you have a typewriter though)
If you type on tissue paper ....
And then carefully tear around the edges of what you typed ...
And then apply some gel medium to your substrate ...
And then adhere your tissue paper over that (and coat with more gel) ...
You end up with a transparent application of text.
Happy Friday
Such a great technique, perfect for inchies! I don't have a typewriter anymore (but wish I had room for one). However, I know someone who does. Perhaps I'll have to take some tissue paper with me the next time I visit her studio!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you, I must try that!
ReplyDeleteI love this post. I need to put a backsplash around the sink in my studio. What a wonderful, inspirational thing to look at while I am cleaning up! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou can print on tissue paper too, just takes a bit of finaglin' to tape a piece onto copy paper. (Graphics Fairy has easy instructions) You made me remember my dad's old Corona...sigh
