faerie garden

the Tall Guy has an english style garden with lots of roses and stuff
as for me - I have an herb graden with resident faeries
maybe it's from having three little girls
or maybe it's just cuz I love tiny things

.... let me show you around ....

this is my Chinese Fisherman (his pond is an abalone shell):

here is The Sage Lady, wise as all get out:

this is my church birdhouse with a pinecone steeple:

here is a table set for tea (can you see the yellow jacket on the left?):

this is where my Kitty Witty is buried under the stones (he was so sweet):

all the wine bottles end up out here as borders:

this year I added a twig fence and oyster shell border:

and the faeries are there, crouched under leaves and such,
waiting for the sun to set so they can dance and sing under the stars

  2. So sweet and artistic. Love your little fairy garden. I believe in fairies...ever since I found them living in my wooden four poster bed post when I was eight. Strange but true. :)

  3. What a lovely garden! I have never thought of creating a faerie garden, or using wine bottles in this way - great ideas!

  4. Oh Kim, I want your tea garden. Loved the tea set, and the clever way you put it, and other garden ornaments together.

I know I've been away for some time, but I seem to be chasing long lists of blog hopping that has consumed my time.I took time to catch up, though. Enjoyed seeing your trip, loved all the glass you collected on the beach (wish I had a beach to collect glass on), and I have to agree with your daughters. NO PB&J when I was growing up.

As for strawberries, they are only good when they have little green "hats." I simply don't care for anything strawberry that is processed.

I have to admit, you have the most GLORIOUS garden. Mine is full of dandelions right now. Can't seem to get rid of them this year.

Whew. Feel like I'm at least PARTLY caught up again!

  10. That is a sweet little place you've created. I think my girls would enjoy creating such a garden. I even think one in the house with different plants would be fun.

  13. Your garden area is lovely. Especially the table set for tea. I'd like to help you with emptying those wine bottles for the borders. Ha! :) While walking last week, I saw a home where they used small plastic water bottles for a border around some of their beds. It's nice to see people in this country be creative and recycle since most don't. Wishing you a great day. Tammy
