my sister (i.l.) is visiting and we got to crafting yesterday
making matchboxes to be exact
we took up the entire dining room table with our joyful mess
... and it's been hot here ...
I totally get it that our hot is not the same as your HOT
but we still down the iced tea like crazy
peachy sun tea
Your joyful crafty mess looks very inviting, isn't it great that you get older but you can still "play' with your sister. Love the angle of your beautiful iced tea photo, and yes, just like your hot is not like my hot..... my cold, which it is here today, (11 degrees C ) is NOTHING like your cold ! xx
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds a perfect way to spend time with your sister...and you do need the whole dining room table! I wish I could have been there to play with the "stuff"1 Have a great visit and enjoy the passage of time! Peace, Mary Helen

Yea...I'm not diggin this heat! The difference for me is...yes it was hotter in Las Vegas, but MOST people had central air in their homes...here it's all about opening the windows which is fine when you have a cool breeze it works great! Oh well...looks like only for a couple more days huh? Love seeing your crafty mess! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is one great mess!! and even though my last name is pronounced "peach" I am not a fan of anything flavored with peach. But, I know a lot of people that do. Glad you are having such summer fun!!

Look Kimmie, I'd love a bit of warm...never mind 'hot' right now.
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't have mentioned spring was about to come calling because I've frightened it away...it's been really wintery since.
I'm working on my dining room table everyday until I can move back into my studio...once it warms up...I've got my fingers crossed it will be soon.
What a lovely time you and your sister must have had working together...I haven't seen my sister for two years and it hurts!
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you have planned...enjoy! ;D
I love your messy table, how else can one be crafty? we need to have our supplies in front of us, right? I have a whole basement that looks like that. Won't you please show us the finished project???
ReplyDeleteI love the joyful mess on your table! Makes me want to play with buttons. :)
ReplyDeleteawesome to spend time with your sis making art and keeping cool...and yes hot everywhere this summer..
ReplyDeletelovely you and your sister had this time together doing what you love. not too many hot days remain methinks whether your kind of hot or our kind of hot.
ReplyDeleteI missed you for tea on Tuesday, but this makes up for it. I remember one year I was doing consulting work in San Diego, and even though my hotel was on a body of water, it was still so hot I could barely stand it. I asked about AC and the hotel said it is not usually that hot, so they don't have it. They gave me a fan. I was glad I had to go to work each day, because I could not have taken that heat for long. Yep, I'm a wimp when it comes to heat, but I have met your kind of heat, and I feel for you. At least here in the midwest, we know ACs are a must in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your sis are having a wonderful visit and craft time.
Your hot is still pretty hot! Have fun with the matchboxes!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than crafting with someone close. :):) Always leads to a scattered mess and lots of laughter. Such fun! :)
ReplyDeleteLook at all those tiny bits of loveliness!!
ReplyDeleteCrafting with others is so much fun! Glad you had the chance.
ReplyDeletecreative time with your sister certainly sounds and looks absolutely peachy to me!
ReplyDeleteway to go ladies!

Ooooh! I'd love a rummage through those buttons and the rest of the lovely bits and bobs there. Sounds like you are having fun despite the heat.
ReplyDeleteNo chance here in North of England for warmth, let alone heat but I experienced HOT HOT HOT recently when we visited Slovenia..... we still managed to craft until the ealry hours of the morning and one night at 1am, the comment was "Oh, it's gone cool, it's only 35 C now".
