earlier this week I showed you the skeleton leaves
which were very kindly sent to me from Bridget
some were curled
and some were pressed
I decide to press the curled ones
and it was very easy to do that with a hot iron
(the one I use for paper making - badly stained and designated for messy jobs)
after pressing them with the iron
I painted them
and then I mod-podged them to tea bag paper
(mod-podge is a decoupage acrylic goopy sort of gluey product)
I am loving how they turned out
one thing just led to another
with no real plan in mind
so what will these finally become?
I have no idea
but I'm having fun
:)
Strings of Prayer flags perhaps.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful treasures. And, fun, too--what is better? You have such talent and foresight even before you see the end product.
ReplyDeleteLove how they turned out! They seem large... or is it just the photos... They are beautiful!

ReplyDeletethey are looking beyond gorgeous... I am in love with them and can't wait to see what they become... they look so perfect like that... xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, Kimmie! I've never seen skeleton leaves like that before -- they obviously hold up well to the ironing and paint. Do they come from a particular tree? Lovely adding them to the teabags. What you've already done is wonderful so whatever you do next will be fantastic. Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteOh so delicate and pretty. xox
ReplyDeleteLove what you are doing with them. It is fun sometimes to not have a plan and just see what we see, so to speak. That is how I often create, anyway.
ReplyDeletePeace~
