the flowers are in explosion mode these days
and bringing them into the house creates a little explosion all it's own
the best way to manage it is to just put all the flowers in the sink
and from here I can see my iced tea
(rosehip and cherry by Ahmad)
and my "sister" saying
(my kitchen sink is surrounded by little reminders of the important things in life)
I ended up with three bouquets today

there's one on the dining room table:
one on the kitchen table:
and one on the piano:

I hope you had a lovely and long weekend ...
for my part - it sure was nice to not have to make lunches at 5:30 monday morning :)
... it's the last tuesday in May, can you believe it?
The bouquets are beautiful... I have serious flower envy at the moment... all of the bouquets are just glorious and the poppies are especially lovely... your garden must be amazing... and we have a long weekend for the next two so no lunch duty for me at 5.30 am which is a bonus, especially as it has been freezing...hope you have a wonderful tea day and enjoy the rest of the long weekend

What utterly gorgeous flowers! Are they all from your garden? And I love the poppies in the simple vase in the last photo --
ReplyDeletePositively perfect poppies! In fact all of the flowers are so beautiful. If you picked them out of your garden you are one lucky lady!
ReplyDeleteWe're not quite in the thick of winter here just yet but already I'm missing flowers. I'm going to be a regular visitor to my local florist in the coming months.
The colours and bouquets are amazing and brought a smile to my face. ;D
Your mention of you sister and the verse brought a tear...I'm missing my big sister at the moment.
Thank you for sharing Kimmie. I'd appreciate a boost of colour and summer whenever you have time please :D
Enjoy!
Beautiful beautiful flowers. I love all the color. Reminds me of my daughters place, where she has bouquets everywhere from her yard of flowers. Happy tea day.
ReplyDeleteOh My what a fantastic delight to see what's blooming in your garden...I adore each and every flower...but my heart skipped a beat when I saw your gorgeous Lupines...that is a flower that does not grow all that well for me (too hot and humid here I think)...I can almost smell their 'peppery' fragrance = Beautiful Kimmie!!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful bright post, love your blooms...it is, of course, grey, cold and gloomy here, but the prettiness in your sink made me smile. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed when I get ONE flower, but when I see all yours, I swoon. What lovely flowers and enough for the entire house, too!

Lucky you to have all those beautiful flowers right in your own backyard. I'm just happy my little moss roses show their pretty pink blooms each morning now. That tea sounds yummy. I will come back tomorrow to see who participated so I can visit them all. Right now, I really, really need to sleep. Goodnite! Tammy
