(I write all of my "tea on tuesday" posts on monday afternoon or evening, so while you are having tuesday morning tea, I'm having monday afternoon tea)
it's as if you all lived in australia :)
my tea this afternoon is at the kitchen table
which is dressed in a table cloth I picked up at the goodwill a few weeks ago
I can hardly believe it was unwanted
it was only $3!
and it's pure linen!
we have already begun dreaming about visiting there some day
the girls have parked their stuff on the table ... a deluge of school books, snacks, projects ....
today it all seems color coordinated .... like this nancy drew book
and the bane of my existence .... tumbled jumbled bead bins
but through my camera it all looks beautiful
I hope your tuesday is as beautiful as my monday was :)
let me know in your comment if you're having tea today and we'll be sure to visit your blog to say hi!
Isn't it amazing what people toss away and how lucky we are to find it?!
Are kids still really reading Nancy Drew? I lived on her as a kid. Yesterday my grandson found a copy of The Bobsy Twins I had picked up at a thrift store and he wanted it read to him. ;-) He's a twin.
Happy T to you dear Kimmie!!! and yes I'm still in Australia and it's Tuesday afternoon!! I'm unable to download my photos from my camera at the moment so I have no tea post but will do so next week when I return!!!
How wonderful it would be to visit Australia. I too, have wanted to go there for several years. I love the tumbled jumbled bead bin statement. Sounds like something a true photographer (like you) would say.
Love that table cloth and your beads are beautiful in their jumble! I'm having my usual morning black tea and will have a tea post about some new tea I have.
My 11 year old has just started reading some Nancy Drew books. One of my older daughters read them too. They also really love the Nancy Drew computer games. Have your girls tried those? So fun to see your table with "life" that happens!
Your tea IS lovely every day of the week dear Kimmie ... I find those linen tea towels hard to pass up too ... a trip to Australia would be dreamy and wonderful!
What a find that tablecloth, a history in itself. Jumbled is good, sometimes the most surprising ideas emerge when you have to sift through, at least for me anyway! xox
Goodness you have been busy ! Love your linen cloth with your mug right on Tasie.............you would love it, very unspoilt and beautiful rugged wilderness ares. Your book cover of collaged tea bags is really beautiful and your little carved rubber stamps are delightful and that tray of jumbled beads is, as you said, really beautiful. Isn't it weird how really mundane, simple things can look amazing in a beautifully composed photo? xx

I feel your pain with the jumbled beads! Drives me insane.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful linen! It's amazing what ends up at the thrift store sometimes.
I'm having tea today as well...then going next door to babysit.
