"save the livah"

remember Dan Ackroyd's Julia Child impersonation?
"save the livah!"

with this year's lavender harvest, I've saved the leaves
they have even more fragrance than the flower buds
and are perfect for sachets

the sachets can go in the clothes drier, or in a drawer
I made them with an old t-shirt
pretty simple

  1. Dan Ackroyd is one of the funniest men alive. Saving the leaves, what a good idea, your sachets are charming. It makes the clothes smell so nice. xox Corrine

  4. Great way to repurpose. I did the same thing with one of my husband's old button-ups that had stains. Hope you are having a great day. Tammy

  5. I just caught up on your last three posts... The sachets are lovely... form your beautiful lavender. I kind of like the lavender mummies... but then I'm kind of partial to dyed and stripped muslin... What a cool idea for the zentagles!

I love your zentangle from your previous post ( sorry didn't get around to comment ) I think it is so beautiful and full of life and personality ( can a drawing have personality ? ) Any way, it's fantastic and then what you did with it and made that cute little box for all the pieces to go in.....ooooh just too creative ! love it ! xx

  13. I wish I could get lavender to grow in my area. I even bought a bush this spring, but it died within four weeks after I brought it home. I love how you recycle and upcycle. Nice choice of pillow sachets, too.

  16. Ackroyd always cracked me up .. . the "hamburger/hamburger" skit used to be a 'thing' between me and my best friend. We'd laugh ourselves silly!

Love that you've used old tee shirts to make these sweet little sachets. I love opening a drawer and smelling that soft, luscious scent! Hugs, Terri xoxo

  17. I'm so glad you've posted this because I have wondered why in the heck the leaves weren't saved. So glad that you gave it a go!
