sewing again

I've been having fun making these cards

and it turns out they are very similar to

something Patty's been working on

and Terri, too

Terri's got a video for the paper bag version

but mine are simply pinned to a blank card (for giving/greeting)
and I did the slow sew (just didn't want to get out the machine I guess)
... oh, and they're in my etsy shop too ...

  5. These cards are terrific. I watched the video that Terri offered and tried a paper bag wrapping. I am hooked. Such fun. Actually, the gift wrap looks much better than you'd ever find at the store. Gives me lots of ideas. Ahhh..the lucky recipients of your cards.

  9. Dear Elizabeth, they're really nothing like what is in the video as far as paper bags go .... But I was struck by how similar the effect is with bits of this and scraps of that all stitched together into something new :) ..... Needless to say, I WILL be getting out "the machine" and having a go at the paper bag technique!
