I've been having fun making these cards
and it turns out they are very similar to
something Patty's been working on
and Terri, too
Terri's got a video for the paper bag version
but mine are simply pinned to a blank card (for giving/greeting)
and I did the slow sew (just didn't want to get out the machine I guess)
... oh, and they're in my etsy shop too ...

These cards are terrific. I watched the video that Terri offered and tried a paper bag wrapping. I am hooked. Such fun. Actually, the gift wrap looks much better than you'd ever find at the store. Gives me lots of ideas. Ahhh..the lucky recipients of your cards.
I love these. I really would never have paired these with the video from Terri's. So different. I am in awe of your hand stitching. Amazing.

Dear Elizabeth, they're really nothing like what is in the video as far as paper bags go .... But I was struck by how similar the effect is with bits of this and scraps of that all stitched together into something new :) ..... Needless to say, I WILL be getting out "the machine" and having a go at the paper bag technique!

I just love handmade cards and these are the prettiest I've seen yet! Love the sing and song card and the tea cup card too. Gosh, I love all of them!!!
