"Metal 4 Patch" how to

I don't have a video,
but maybe a slideshow would do?
Feel free to leave questions.
This example used just gesso,
but if you want the colored effects of the last 4-patch,
you can just play with some paints to get that.

(If you can't see the slide show from your device,
you can follow THIS LINK and view it in Picasa Web Albums)

  2. Who'd have thought that a lowly pie plate and discarded bottle caps could be transformed into something so wonderful!!! Awesome slide show, Kimmie! Thank you!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo

  4. pretty amazing! now, do you mean one of those thin foil-like pie plates or just an old metal pie plate whatever they are made of I am not sure, aluminum perhaps. Well you must mean the foil type as how could you cut it with scissors otherwise.

The yin and yang of your Gulf quilt and this metal quilt is fabulous!

  6. Thanks for the tutorial! THis is an AWESOME project (for a rusted and smashed bottle cap collector like myself!)

Glad I also happen to have a collection of old pie tins up in my cabinet-- and here I thought I was saving them to bake pies...
