vacation pics

we took the kids for a quick little 2-day break to Lake Chelan
the sun is shining over in Eastern Washington
the air is warmer too
it's only a 3 hour drive
... one we should make more often ...

the water is so clean
... no oil here ...

  1. I recognize those marshmallow fingers - there even might be an haiku about it somewhere on the web!!

  4. I love that part of eastern Washington. So different than the western side. Is that true only of the western states do you think? We have such diversity here. In one or two hours I can be either at the ocean, the redwoods, the desert, the valley, the foothills, the snow. How lucky we are. And how lucky you were. Do you camp or stay in a house when you are there? The marshmallows make me think "camp" but you never know.

  7. your girls are so sweet

a friend came to visit me on Cape Cod from Ohio and was shocked at how clean the streams and waters were. Remember when the Cuyahoga river caught fire?? Many rivers and streams a filthy at least where i was near Kent Ohio.

  9. For some reason, my comment didn't register yesterday -- I think I said that your photos are remarkable and that the light in them is just so beautiful. You have a "voice" in your photo art as well, Kim --
