Here's another trash to treasure adventure
We ran out of cereal today and this beautiful cardboard box was just waiting for me to claim it for something other than the recycling man's giant truck.
so I sanded it ...
inked one piece and painted the other ...
tore it into strips and wove it together ...
added a story ...
added some doodads and doodles ...
and now I have an inchie hanging and keepsake of friends from around the world ...
Kimmie - it's beautiful!! You have such imagination!! It's kind of like the placemats we used to teach the kids to weave in kindergarten - but soooo much cooler!!!GReat way to display others' art!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! What a wonderful idea! That's a stunning piece of art!
ReplyDeleteSWEET Beans!! What a cool idea..totally love it! You tore it perfectly..I hope I can tear that straight! I love how you can display it. Will you frame it? Love the color's and cute story too.
ReplyDeleteI might turn it into a cover for a book ...
ReplyDeleteto tear the edges nice and straight - just hold a ruler along the edge and tear against the ruler
ooo that rocks!!! you are a wealth of delight, miss kim!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful find and beautiful transformation.
