while out walking the dog

This is what I noticed today while out walking my bosses dog today:

wavy glass is amazingly beautiful

The 7up logo is red (not green)

Cigars, candy, and coke - such healthy choices

Wouldn't it be fun to try painting a mural someday?

These are my favorites.

It's been 6 weeks of painting the sky.

I've had many moments of fear and doubt ...

... those moments have been taken over by joy.

Monday is usually my day.

Sometimes I just go back to bed.

Sometimes I get my house really clean.

Sometimes I make something.

today I made a crown

a first real attempt at acrylic painting

it was an agonizing process

- but I finally hit a sweet spot -

some of my thoughts: 

the shelter of trees, the shelter of houses, the live wood in one, the dead wood in the other, the diminished habitat of elephants, their rampages through villages, the grief in the aftermath, the "what if?" question about sharing our world and not dominating it, domination in general, the havoc it brings, the quest for shelter from havoc, we all want the same thing, man and beast alike. Solace.

MLK Jr. Day

On his birthday, I like choosing a book to read to celebrate Dr. King's life and legacy. My parameters are that it has to be a very human story. This is turning out to be one of those books.
