These inchies are part of a swap I'm in with one of the themes being "Hawaiian." I made tons more than I needed to - so I could hog some for myself :) Here they are en masse. They've been adhered to a scrap of fence wood from DH's stash. The Sun I stamped and heat embossed in gold on white tissue. Then I glued it to the wood. It's a good way to get a good image that would be impossible directly on the wood. I gave the sun a little happy crown and of course all the inchies have been beeswaxed ....

Here's the up close picture. The inchie images came from the packaging of some postcards I ordered online. IslandArtStore.com is the postcard source - they have awesome vintage Hawaiian images. I wrote the comany to get permission to use their stuff. Be careful to respect copyrights when you're using calendars and postcards for your images.
... thanks for looking .... thanks for leaving a comment :)

ooo i'm with you - i'm not ready for summer to be over either! love your island inchies....aloha!
You must be an island girl at heart!
I would have never thought about stamping on tissue and applying to wood - because I love the way the tissue adhered to the wood. Really cool... your always so generous with your process.
Makes me homesick for the islands although I was at a Hawaii-type luau function last night in Chicago, it's just not the same. No gentle trade winds, no smell of plumeria, no sand and surf. These inchies are fabulous.
