Lettering Technique I Had To Try

I saw this fun lettering technique on Craftside.typepad.com. It looked easy enough to take a few minutes out of my evening - between dishes and the Olympics to give it a try. It is fun and it is easy. You basically use a fine point pen (I used my micron pen) and without lifting your pen, loosely squiggle the letters. You want the squiggles to have enough open spaces to be able to go back and color in with a colored marker (I used sharpies) and fill in alternating spaces with color. Kind of like those scribble doodles that are so groovy :)

Lisa Engelbrecht featured this technique "No-Lift Letters" in her book "Modern Mark Making" which is  reviewed in the above linked post.
